Do I have to be a Focusmaster Fitness member?
Yes, for the member pricing on this page. The programs themselves are open to anyone Apex MD can treat in your state, at the standard rate.
What happens when I purchase?
You've prequalified if you make it to checkout, where you can purchase your GLP-1. Once purchased, your intake is reviewed by a physician and approved to be processed and shipped. A lab requisition form is emailed to you so you can complete labs at any Labcorp or Quest, along with a link to sign into the Apex MD portal and download the Apex MD app. You can meet with an Apex MD physician within 48 hours, where your GLP-1 is personalized. When you complete your labs, your results automatically upload into your Apex MD portal, where they're read by the Apex MD AI and your physician. Your wearable automatically syncs with your Apex MD portal to track your sleep, activity level, and resting heart rate — all crucial in the personalization process. Your body composition and progress photos are also added to the portal, where you can interact with the AI to ask questions about your health and get tips for optimization. You have scheduled meetings with your physician quarterly to review your progress and make personalized adjustments to your program, and you can schedule additional meetings with an Apex MD medical provider in between your quarterly visits.
What are GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 receptor agonists were originally developed for type 2 diabetes and also support significant weight loss. They mimic a natural hormone that regulates appetite, blood sugar, and digestion — so you feel fuller longer with fewer cravings.
What happens if I purchase but don't get approved by the Apex MD physician?
Your money is returned immediately, or you can opt for a credit to use toward another Apex MD product or service recommended by your Apex MD physician.
How do I choose between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?
Both are effective. Semaglutide targets appetite regulation; Tirzepatide works on two metabolic pathways and may lead to greater fat loss for some. Your provider will help determine the best option based on your goals, history, and response. If there's a price adjustment from a different GLP-1 being prescribed, our admin team will make the financial adjustment with your approval.
Will I lose muscle on GLP-1s?
No — on our GLP-1 program the majority of clients gain muscle. Our muscle-loss-prevention protocols are what separate us from our competitors. We've perfected our methods over the years to get clients better fat-loss results in less time.
Are labs required? Are they included?
Labs are optional to start. Quarterly bloodwork is included with the Full Program and can be added to a 3-month plan, drawn at any Quest location. Bloodwork is how we track your response and personalize your dose.
What are the common side effects?
The most common are nausea, reduced appetite, bloating, constipation, or fatigue — especially during dose increases. Most are mild and temporary. Providers can prescribe anti-nausea medication if needed.
Where do you source your GLP-1s?
We only use LegitScript-certified, state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. GLP-1s are shipped cold and sealed directly from the pharmacy to your home.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. ApexMD does not lock you into long-term contracts. Pricing is transparent and you can adjust or discontinue treatment with your provider at any time.
